A CBD vape pen is simply a vaporizer used for vaping CBD E-liquids. This can be broken down into two main categories: refillable and disposable. Refillable pens allow you to choose your own e-liquid, set temperature and much more. However, they are often expensive and hard to use if you’re a beginner. Disposable CBD Vape pens, on the other hand, are a convenient and cheap way to start vaping CBD right away.

Refillable CBD vape pens

A refillable vape pen usually comes in two parts: a battery and a tank. These pens are generally smaller and lighter than the average vape battery and tank combination. There are various forms of refillable vape pens, some are suitable for direct lung vaping while others provide a tight mouth to lung draw.

Disposable CBD Vape Pens

Disposable CBD vape pens, such as TREET’s own collection, are fully pre-built and pre-filled vapes that contain a battery, atomizer and are premixed CBD e-liquid. Disposables are designed to provide a few hundred puffs before they are depleted and thrown away.

Disposable CBD vape pens are a much more practical alternative to CBD cartridges and CBD pods,  as they don’t require knowledge of vapes and the initial investment of purchasing a battery or compatible pods. Furthermore, they are often draw-activated, which means no fiddly buttons to figure out.

Pros and cons of refillable vape pens

Refillable CBD vape pens require knowledge about the different styles and types of the pen out there, thus there is a slight learning curve. Furthermore, they are typically more expensive than Disposable Pens.  However, they are generally more cost-effective in the long run, after that initial investment. There is more variety out there, that allows for each individual to customize their vape and e-liquid combinations to their tastes. Most even have adjustable power and airflow options for fine-tuning the experience. However, they are often less convenient, discreet, and require more knowledge to use them properly.

Pros

  • More cost-effective
  • Adjustable airflow options
  • Caters to different vaping styles

Cons

  • Initial investment required
  • Slight learning curve
  • Requires some maintenance
  • Less discreet

Pros and cons of disposable CBD vape pens

Disposable CBD vape pens are the most practical ways to start vaping cannabidiol. As they are pre-filled, disposable CBD pens don’t require you to purchase a liquid or any additional items or even know anything about vape hardware. Just vape it, then throw it away. This makes Disposable CBD vapes the perfect item for beginners or those who don’t have the time to learn about vaping hardware and styles.

A downside, however, is disposable pens generally don’t offer as much variety in terms of flavour and CBD strengths but they are relatively inexpensive and couldn’t be easier to use. They also tend not to be as cost-effective as refillable vape pens as you will need to keep repurchasing the whole pen rather than just the e-liquid, which can be cheaper depending on strength. They are also mostly limited to a cigarette style draw, a style of vaping also called mouth to lung. This style of delivery is low output also means you may need to vape it often to achieve your desired CBD dosage.

Pros

  • Relatively affordable
  • No maintenance
  • Slim and discreet
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Less cost-effective than refillables
  • More limited selection
  • Not many direct lung options
  • Non-adjustable (power/airflow)
  • Small cloud production
